We researched how a Polar Bear stays warm. Then we copied that into a glove.We bring you a six-layer, ultra-warm, shockingly tough, nearly waterproof water buffalo leather mitten. With a 180D PVC-coated polyester layer atop Hipora® and 0.8mm full-grain, reinforced, waterproof-treated water buffalo leather, this ski mitten is built to be the last pair you’ll ever buy. Tested in wet, dry, cold (-14°F), windy, and foggy conditions, this warm winter mitten proved to be perfect, becoming softer, shinier, and more beautiful over time.

WARMTH (Exceptionally Warm)

By allowing your fingers to share warmth and reducing exposure to cold, mittens are naturally warmer than gloves. With six carefully engineered layers, including Hipora®, 5mm foam, 180D PVC-coated polyester, and 100g Thinsulate®, our design traps warm air pockets around your fingers, maximizing heat retention. Additionally, the waterproof layers in these snow mittens help prevent heat loss, keeping hands consistently warm.

WATERPROOFING

Cold, wet hands are one of the fastest ways to lose warmth, so we invested in making these waterproof winter mittens as water-resistant as possible. Starting with tightly woven, full-grain water buffalo leather, we applied eco-friendly waterproofing to create an additional barrier. Inside, we added a Hipora® layer and a 180D PVC-coated polyester layer, creating a third line of protection against moisture. While not intended for scuba diving, these leather mittens keep your hands dry in nearly every other condition.

STRENGTH

Water buffalo leather is incredibly durable, with strength that’s three times that of cowhide. For these mittens, we used high-quality Coates® nylon thread and layered 0.8mm full-grain leather on the thumb and palm—areas most exposed to wear. This leather’s tightly woven fibers provide tear resistance and unmatched toughness, allowing the mitten to mold perfectly to your hand over time without stretching or sanding.
