Dr. Natalie Bonthius is an Emergency Medicine physician with advanced training in wilderness medicine. As the founder of Survival Med, she leads a prominent wilderness medicine and survival education organization that instructs over 30,000 students worldwide, including personnel from the National Park Service, National Association for Search and Rescue, the U.S. Military, and various medical schools and universities.

Dr. Bonthius is deeply involved in search and rescue training, specializing in mountain rescue, where she prepares teams to tackle extreme challenges in isolated locations. She is a Fellow in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine, an instructor in Wilderness Medicine at the University of Utah, and a contributing author to the pioneering Emergency Medicine textbook, CorePendium. Additionally, she engages in neuroscience and survival psychology research with Stanford University and the University of Virginia.
